Cost Savings: This is how it can save you money

  • If at the beginning of the design process careful consideration is given to the interconnection requirements of your end product cost savings can be attained. The positioning of pin addresses on connectors and component parts should be taken into account.
  • Making this kind of printed circuit board part of an initial design is, of course, not always possible. But this will not present a problem, as introducing one into an existing design is still very possible. A large proportion of Flexible PCB designs have been added subsequently to overcome an initial difficulty.
  • When comparing the initial budgetary price of Flexable printed circuit boards with the alternative wiring harnesses they may appear to be uncompetitive. These initial costs are outweighed by the differential in installation costs. It is a long time and money-consuming process involved in successfully fitting and testing wiring harnesses.
